The training of specialists to work on the Patriot air defense system will take place in the shortest possible time.
This was announced by Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat on the air of the telethon.
– The training of our specialists also takes place in the shortest possible time. If it is technically possible to bring the Patriot system to Ukraine and put it on combat duty, to enter it into the Air Force, then, of course, the specialists will also be prepared by that time. This is shown by the practice of the same Iris-T and NASAMS, when specialists needed several weeks to prepare, – he said.
According to Ignat, Patriot may take a little longer to master.
At the same time, the spokesman of the Air Force expressed hope that the process of updating the Ukrainian air defense system will continue.
In particular, the next step could be a multipurpose aircraft of the F-16 type, without which it will be very difficult to face the current challenges.
– The transfer of the plane will be a huge step on the way to our victory, – emphasized Ignat.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, said that Ukraine expects the Patriot to be deployed as soon as possible, and preparations for the transfer of these systems have already begun.
