There are more than 30 thousand Russians in occupied Mariupol. Defensive lines are being built near the city.
This was stated by the mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boychenko.
According to him, there are many builders from Russia, Kadyrovites, Buryats and mobilized people in the city.
Huge columns are moving through Mariupol towards Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Melitopol.
– Huge columns are moving towards Donetsk, towards Zaporizhzhya, towards Melitopol. There are columns with mobilized people, columns of cars with weapons,” said Boychenko.
He stressed that from the very beginning it was important for the Russian occupiers to capture Mariupol, because the logistics artery that feeds the enemy groups in the South passes through the city.
According to Vadym Boychenko, it is known about three defense lines that the occupiers are building in three directions – Zaporizhzhia, Melitopol and Donetsk. Russians are digging ditches, putting “dragon teeth”. And they are building houses behind the defense lines.
– Under the guise of restoring life, they create fortifications that will be blown up by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the offensive and filmed for propaganda,” said the mayor of Mariupol.
Earlier it became known that from January 1, 2023, Russian invaders in Mariupol began forced passportization of all teachers, doctors, police officers and employees of state structures.
