The reduction of artillery fire by Russian troops, as reported by Western media, is due to the unlimited use of shells in the summer, when the occupiers hoped for quick results.

This was stated by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty during a telethon.

– Over the last day there were 249 attacks from various types of artillery in the Bakhmut sector. But compared to the summer, when the Russians did not know how long the campaign would last, counting on quick results, they actually used 122- and 152-caliber shells without limit,” he explained.

According to him, now the enemy has concentrated forces on specific areas – Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Lyman – “and they cannot afford a constant rain of fire anymore.

– They already need to deliver ammunition from a greater distance, they are looking for it in different countries, because the intensity of the war is incredible,” said Cherevaty, adding that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are also constantly destroying enemy warehouses and artillery installations.

The full-scale war in Ukraine continues for the 322nd day.
