The EU will train another 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers and provide €25 million for demining territories – Borrell
The European Union will train another 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers, and will also allocate €25 million for demining the territory of our country.
This was announced by the High Representative of the EU for foreign and security policy, Josep Borrell.
– Russia has returned the war to Europe, but Ukraine continues to resist. I am glad to inform Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal that the EU Military Assistance Mission EU MAM will train an additional 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers, as a result of which the total number of EU MAM trained personnel will reach 30,000 people, – he wrote on Twitter.

The head of European diplomacy also announced that the EU will provide €25 million to support demining efforts.
– Protection of civilians and their means of livelihood is a priority – he noted.
We will remind that today, February 2, the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Josep Borrell arrived in Ukraine.
The purpose of the working visit is to further deepen support and cooperation. According to Borrell, he wants to send a strong signal of EU support to all Ukrainians who defend their country.
