We have the political will, we will find the tools: European Commission President on a tribunal for Russia

The European Union is determined to ensure that Russia is held accountable for the crime of aggression against Ukraine and to establish a tribunal for this purpose.
This was stated by President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen at a joint briefing with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Brussels.
She noted that in order to ensure that the crimes committed do not go unpunished, a set of steps is needed – first of all, documentation, and secondly, the joint work of prosecutors, for which a center in The Hague is being created.
– The next step is to create a tribunal. We are still discussing how exactly it will be organized. However, I assure you, Mr. President, we have the political will to bring the perpetrators to justice, including for the crime of aggression. And if we have the political will, we will find ways,” she said.
Earlier, the President’s Office spoke about options for punishing Russia for its aggression.
