The “missile blitzkrieg” planned by the Kremlin against Ukraine failed, but the aggressor will not stop striking the territory of our country.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, told about this on the air of the national telethon.

He reminded that the Russian authorities, after the failure of the so-called first blitzkrieg, when the occupiers planned to capture Kyiv in three days, decided to resort to terror and “missile blitzkrieg”. The Kremlin expected to quickly disable Ukraine’s energy system, break Ukrainian resistance and provoke a new wave of refugees.

– But Putin’s missile blitzkrieg completely failed. In principle, like all his other strategic plans, – Yusov emphasized.

The representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence added that the “missile blitzkrieg” essentially lost its meaning, since the Ukrainian energy system survived.

– Ukrainian society rallied even more, despite the huge losses, despite the intentional hitting of civilian objects, houses, residential apartment buildings. Ukrainian resistance has not broken, – Yusov explained.

He reminded that Ukrainian energy engineers and employees of the State Emergency Service are involved in the repair and rescue work, and the whole world helps our country by supplying equipment and generators.

Despite this, according to Yusov, Russia will not give up missile attacks, as it does not have many methods of waging war against Ukraine.

– We will stand. And it is already clear that spring is coming soon. That is, the missile blitzkrieg failed. Will they continue to try to continue these terrorist attacks? Yes, they will, because they don’t have many other methods left, – Yusov stressed.

At the same time, he said that the stockpile of high-precision missile weapons in the Russian Federation is rapidly decreasing. And the aggressor does not have the opportunity to replenish supplies in the necessary quantities. That is why the intervals between massive missile attacks on Ukraine, their intensity and the number of missiles launched by the occupiers have increased.

– But they still have many missiles. A lot of outdated missile weapons. There are too many missiles for the S-300. This means that our frontline cities remain under serious threat, – Yusov explained.

He also noted that over the past year, the Ukrainian air defense/anti-missile defense system has significantly strengthened.

As you know, since the fall, Ukraine’s energy system has already survived 13 missile attacks by the Russian Federation and 15 waves of drone attacks on energy facilities. Russian troops also struck residential buildings in the cities.

Earlier, the Main Directorate of Intelligence reported that against the background of Western sanctions, Russia had problems with the production of weapons. The aggressor country simplifies technological processes so much that its weapons can no longer be called highly accurate.
