Ukraine to receive new $500 million military aid package – Biden

U.S. President Joe Biden said he would announce $500 million in additional aid to Ukraine.
He said this during a speech with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, CNN reports.
According to him, the aid package will include more military equipment, including artillery ammunition and howitzers.
The US president also spoke about the resilience of the Ukrainian resistance.
– A year later, Kyiv is standing. And Ukraine is standing. Democracy is standing,” Biden said.
According to the White House website, the aid will include critical equipment, including artillery ammunition, anti-tank systems, and air surveillance radars to help protect the Ukrainian people from aerial bombardment.
US President Joe Biden arrived in Kyiv on February 20 for an official visit. This is a historic day, as almost 15 years have passed between this and the previous visit of American leaders to Ukraine.
