Ukraine identifies 91 Russian military involved in crimes in Bucha – Prosecutor General

The Russian army committed more than 9,000 war crimes in the Bucha district of Kyiv region during the occupation. The Russian military killed more than 1.7 thousand civilians, including almost 700 in Bucha itself.
Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin told this to Congressmen Michael McCaul, Darrell Issa, Keith Self, Jake Ells and Max Miller, showing them the places of mass crimes committed by the Russian army.
– After our release, we discovered mass graves with mutilated bodies of men, women, and children. Torture, murder, sexual violence. This is the true face of the “Russian world” and the Russian regime, which is based on a complete disregard for the principles of human rights and humanitarian law,” Kostin emphasized.
According to him, as of today, 91 Russian servicemen involved in these crimes have been identified.
Kostin emphasized that he counts on the U.S. support in establishing an international tribunal to bring the Russian leadership to justice.

Recently, the United States officially recognized that Russia is committing crimes against humanity during the full-scale war in Ukraine.
Those involved in the atrocities will be held accountable, Vice President Kamala Harris said during the Munich Security Conference.
