Russia finances war with money from nuclear projects – Energoatom
Russia is earning billions in the nuclear sector, and it is using this money to wage war against Ukraine.

– Russia’s power generation actually has a very developed nuclear industry. The Russian Federation has announced that they earn €200 billion a year from their foreign economic projects in the nuclear field. This money is then used to finance the war,” said Petro Kotin, President of NNEGC Energoatom.
He also added that Russia seized Zaporizhzhia NPP, realizing that the plant is a valuable asset and instrument of influence.
At the same time, Energoatom emphasizes that Russia’s international nuclear expansion is becoming increasingly dangerous, as countries not only become dependent on Russian fuel or services, but also a certain political dependence arises.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the EU to impose sanctions on the Russian nuclear industry and banks.
