The situation in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region is extremely tense.
This was announced by the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi.
-Despite significant losses, the enemy threw Wagner’s most prepared assault units, which are trying to break through the defenses of our troops and surround the city, – he said.
On February 27, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty reported that Bakhmut remains the epicenter of the enemy’s offensive.
According to Cherevaty, on this section of the front, the occupiers fired 300 rounds per day from various types of barrel artillery and rocket launchers. In addition, 60 combat clashes took place during the day.
