Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is currently completely de-energized due to enemy missile attacks.

Currently, the NPP has gone into blackout mode – this is already the sixth time during the occupation – the 5th and 6th power units are put into a cold state, 18 diesel generators have been switched on to power the ZNPP’s own needs. Fuel for their work is enough for 10 days.

Energoatom emphasizes that if the external power supply of the station is not renewed within these 10 days, it may lead to a radiation accident that will threaten the whole world.

All Ukrainian nuclear power plants located in the territory controlled by Ukraine have unloaded their capacity. As of 6:30 a.m., all power units provide a total of 4,700 MW to the power system.

Energy Minister German Galushchenko reported that as of 6:30 a.m. shelling of energy facilities was recorded in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zhytomyr regions.

According to the minister, the Russians are putting the world on the brink of a nuclear disaster by shelling  Zaporizhzhia NPP.

– And this is the day after the negotiations with the UN on the demilitarization of  ZNPP, – German Galushchenko remarked.

Due to the missile attack of the Russian enemy, emergency power outages are applied in Odesa.

Emergency blackouts were introduced in Kyiv on March 9 due to a rocket attack.
