Avdiivka may soon become the second Bakhmut – Defense Forces
Russian troops constantly try to surround Avdiivka, but suffer losses.
This was announced by the head of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria region, Oleksiy Dmytrashkivskyi, on the air of the telethon.
– The enemy is constantly trying to surround Avdiivka. I agree with the British colleagues (British intelligence report. – Ed.) that Avdiіvka may become the second Bakhmut in the near future. But at the moment, not everything is fine with the Russian units attacking in this direction. In recent days, the enemy has used the last reserves it had, – he said.
According to Dmytrashkivskyi, the Russians will suffer heavy losses of both personnel and equipment in this direction. Only in the past day, the occupiers lost about three companies of personnel there.
– The attacks that took place in the direction of Avdiivka, they are all of the same type. The enemy attacks from the same landing and is very predictable. That is why the Ukrainian military manages to defend its positions, – said the representative of the Defense Forces.
On Monday, March 20, British intelligence reported that the situation near Avdiivka is tactically similar to the situation near Bakhmut.
