The Armed Forces repelled more than 120 enemy attacks per day – General Staff
During the day, Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 120 attacks by Russian occupiers in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv, Mariinsk, and Shakhtarsk directions.
On March 20, the Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 12 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers, and units of rocket forces and artillery hit three areas of concentration of enemy manpower.
Meanwhile, the Russian invaders do not stop storming Bakhmut.
Instead, the Ukrainian military repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Ivanovske, Predtechine and Severnye settlements.
In total, 12 settlements in the Bakhmut direction were affected by the fire of the invaders.
In the Avdiiv, Mariinsk, and Shakhtarsk directions, the Russians tried in vain to advance towards the settlements of Berdychi, Avdiivka, Severna, Pershotravneve, and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region.
Areas of 17 settlements were subjected to numerous enemy shelling.
In the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the Russian army unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with artillery fire in the areas of 11 settlements along the line of combat confrontation.
The offensive of the occupiers in the direction of Novoselivskyi was unsuccessful.
The Russians continue to defend themselves in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. On March 20, Russian troops opened fire on 41 populated areas.
On the Volyn, Poliske, Siver and Slobozhansk directions, the situation has not changed significantly.
The Russian Federation continues to maintain a significant military presence on the territory of Belarus, but no obvious formation of offensive groups has been recorded.
In the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation, the enemy continues to engineer the terrain.
