The Air Force called on the media to stop manipulating headlines and making unsubstantiated “victory news” from the transfer of MiGs from Poland and Slovakia.

Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat wrote about this in the Telegram channel.

– Please stop manipulating the headlines, making unsubstantiated “victory news” about the transfer of Slovak and Polish MiGs, thanks to which, I quote… “it was possible to equip three fighter brigades”… And where did the number 72 come from?, – Ignat said in a statement.

He emphasized that the Air Force has five fighter brigades, three of which are armed with the MiG-29.

According to Ignat, the transfer of the Polish and Slovak MiG-29s will somewhat strengthen the capabilities of the fighter aircraft of the Air Force in the performance of current combat missions, but in no way will it solve the issue of “counteroffensive”, “victory”, etc.

-To gain air superiority and victory, we need modern multi-purpose aircraft with a wide range of weapons, – he added.

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar urged not to discuss the future Ukrainian counteroffensive anywhere.

She emphasized that three persons in Ukraine have the right to publish strategic military plans and ideas: President Volodymyr Zelenskyу, Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valerіі Zaluzhnyі.
