In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of the G7 countries promised to continue to support Ukraine and warned of the consequences for those states that help Russia.

This is stated in the joint communiqué of the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

– We repeat our call to third parties to stop helping Russia in the war or face serious consequences. We will strengthen our coordination to prevent and respond to the supply of arms by third parties to Russia and will continue to take measures against those who materially support Russia’s war against Ukraine, – the ministers said.

It is noted that the G7 countries remain committed to strengthening sanctions against Russia, as well as countering attempts by the Russian Federation and third parties to evade them.

The participants also called on the Russian Federation to immediately withdraw its troops and equipment from Ukraine. They noted that Russia should pay for the damage it caused and answer for war crimes and other atrocities.

In addition, the G7 stressed that Russia’s irresponsible nuclear rhetoric and its threats to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus are unacceptable, and any use of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons by Russia will have serious consequences.

On Thursday, April 13, the Council of the European Union agreed to allocate €1 billion to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
