The counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been going on for several days – President’s Office
The counteroffensive of the Ukrainian military has begun and has been going on for several days now, intense fighting has unfolded along the entire border line.
This was stated by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Mykhailo Podolyak in an interview with the Italian TV channel Rai.
– The counteroffensive has been going on for several days, there is an intense war on 1,500 km of the border, but the actions have already begun, – he said.
Podolyak also assured that Ukraine will use weapons provided by Western partners only for deoccupation of captured territories.
– Today we have Storm Shadow long-range missiles, Leopard tanks and anti-missile systems provided by France and Italy. The F-16s will finally allow us to close the airspace, – he emphasized.
According to him, if these fighters had been provided a year ago, “the war would have already ended.”
On May 23, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin soon , as Kyiv has already received the required minimum amount of weapons and military equipment.
