– “Dear citizens, I am officially informing you that the explosion at the Kakhovka reservoir has no impact on the water supply of the city of Dnipro. The city’s water utility is now seeing a sharp increase in water intake by city residents. Please calm down and stop panicking,” the mayor wrote.

Filatov appealed to Dnipro residents to trust only official sources of information and follow the messages of the Civil-Military Administration and the City Council.

He also said that the Dnipro Vodokanal is currently preparing a technical report for the local community.

As a reminder, on the night of 6 June, the Russian occupiers blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, which put about 80 settlements under the threat of flooding and evacuation. Other consequences are still being assessed by experts.
