Lithuania to send aid to Ukraine in connection with the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station

Lithuania will send humanitarian aid and financial assistance to Ukraine for people affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
This was stated by Lithuanian Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite, LRT reports.
– “We understand that this is a very difficult situation and we must do everything possible to help our friends and brothers in Ukraine,” she said.
Lithuania intends to provide Ukraine with 30 tents, 240 folding beds and €50,000 in financial assistance.
The country is also preparing for a possible increase in the number of Ukrainian refugees.
Earlier, we wrote that the European Union would provide Ukrainian services with everything they need to maintain the conditions for protecting the population after Russia’s explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the EU will coordinate with member states to quickly deliver dirty water pumps, fire hoses, mobile water treatment stations and boats.
