Ukraine will receive 20 more Marder armored infantry vehicles from Germany – mass media

The German Ministry of Defense instructed the Rheinmetall arms concern to prepare 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles for shipment to Ukraine.

The company announced the order on Tuesday, June 6, at its production site in Unterluss, Lower Saxony.
Armored infantry vehicles should be delivered by the end of July.
It is noted that now Ukraine has already received 40 Marder armored vehicles: 20 – from Rheinmetall warehouses and another 20 – from the Bundeswehr warehouse.
In addition, Rheinmetall offers 60 other Marder armored infantry vehicles that still need to be converted.
The publication also indicates that the first batch of 10,000 caliber 35 mm ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft guns will be sent to Ukraine by the end of July.
Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Germany is rethinking its position on the issue of possible supplies of Western fighter jets to Ukraine and will make a decision in two weeks.
