Strategic Communication center denies occupants’ statements about “colossal losses” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Russian propaganda is intensively working on the topic of the allegedly colossal losses of Ukrainian equipment, in particular, Western models.
This was reported by the Centre for Strategic Communications.
– “There are losses in every war, especially during offensive operations. But Ukrainian losses are definitely not on the scale claimed by Russian propaganda,” the statement said.
“To increase the figures, the Russians show the same destroyed equipment from different angles, but in different reports. They also present Russian losses as those of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
The Centre notes that Russia is implementing an information and psychological operation on a given topic, so there is no reason to believe Russian statements and fake “evidence”.
– The propaganda’s special emphasis on Western losses is an attempt to reduce its effectiveness in the eyes of Ukrainians and their partners and to boost Russian morale. “Western tanks and armoured vehicles have already proven themselves very well on the battlefield, although they have been used to a limited extent so far,” the statement added.
Earlier, the Pentagon said it had no confirmation of the information about the destruction of 16 units of Western equipment in Ukraine.
