Ukraine returns two more prisoners of war taken by Russia to Hungary – Foreign Affairs Ministry

Ukraine has returned home two more prisoners of war taken by Russia to Hungary.
This was announced by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleh Nikolenko.
– “Ukrainian diplomats have brought back from Hungary two more Ukrainian prisoners of war who were handed over by Moscow to Budapest. We are working to ensure that the remaining six soldiers return home to their families as soon as possible,” the statement said.
As a reminder, on 20 June, three Ukrainian prisoners of war were taken out of Hungary. Thus, the Ukrainian side has already returned five defenders.
Earlier it was reported that Russia had handed over 11 Ukrainian prisoners of war to Hungary.
The Ukrainian government was not informed of the relevant negotiations between the Hungarian and Russian sides.
Currently, the state, in cooperation with international partners, is actively working to bring all our defenders home.
