Ukraine needs more aircraft to challenge Russia in the skies – Kuleba

Ukraine needs more planes and helicopters to successfully counter-attack Russia in the skies, which will help challenge it.
This was stated by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with the Telegraph.
– “The biggest problem in the counter-offensive is the sustainability of the supply of artillery ammunition, and in sufficient quantities. And the second biggest problem in the counter-offensive is Russia’s air dominance,” he said.
Kuleba stressed that in order to “throw Russia out of the sky”, Ukrainian defenders need planes, helicopters and portable anti-aircraft systems, such as Stinger.
According to the minister, every class of weapon that Ukraine expected from its allies has already been “unlocked”. These include air defence systems, modern tanks, long-range precision missiles and fighter jets.
– The biggest mountain we have to overcome is to ensure the sustainability of artillery ammunition supplies. This is still the unconquered pinnacle of diplomacy,” Kuleba said.
In addition, Ukraine is trying to convince the US to provide long-range ATACMS missiles, which are launched from HIMARS systems, as the UK’s Storm Shadow missiles are not in sufficient supply.
