The rockets first flew at Kyiv, and then changed the trajectory – Ignat about the attack on Lviv

That night, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with Kalibr cruise missiles, which first flew to Kyiv, and then changed the trajectory.
This was announced by Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat during the telethon.
The enemy launched missiles from underwater and surface carriers.
– The rockets first moved to the north, using both the Dnipro and the terrain, as the enemy usually does with Shaheds, cruise missiles Kh-101, Kh-555, Calibra. They always use the river to overcome the anti-aircraft defense system, – said Yuriy Ignat.
According to him, that night there was a possibility that Kyiv was under attack, but they turned sharply to the west and attacked Lviv.
Our fighter aircraft tried to shoot down these missiles along the tracking route, which partially succeeded. Seven out of ten missiles were destroyed.
Yuriy Ignat emphasized that in this case American F-16 aircraft could help. This aircraft is designed to be part of air defense, to intercept cruise missiles and kamikaze drones.
Ukraine currently has Soviet Su-27 and MiG-29 aircraft in service. Their airborne equipment and missiles were manufactured back in the distant Soviet Union, so they are unable to effectively counter such missile threats as today, the Air Force spokesman said.
– We really need F-16s. The whole of Ukraine, the whole world is talking about this, – noted Yuriy Ignat.
As a result of the enemy attack on Lviv, four people died . Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said that there may still be people under the rubble of the destroyed apartments of the building.
