Ukraine intends to strengthen air defense systems in the cities of Ukraine, as has been done in Kyiv.
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov , on his Facebook page.
– I did not believe that the Russians would start shelling peaceful cities with missiles. This was clearly contrary to their purpose. Therefore, I perceive reliable protection of our sky as a personal challenge. In Kyiv, we have almost solved this task. In Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa – no, but we are working, – he wrote.
Oleksiy Reznikov says that Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine became for him a time of “reevaluation of many things, awareness of mistakes and at the same time confidence that we will win.”
– We must not just free our land from them – we must make sure that this evil cannot recover for a very long time and is not capable of aggression for several generations, – stressed the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Previously, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar said that for the first time in the world, air defense was unified and effectively used in Ukraine, based on the example of the latest Western and Soviet systems.
