Resistance grows in Crimea, occupants intensify terror and arrests in response – GUR

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the pro-Ukrainian population is increasingly resisting the occupiers. In response, Russian security forces are stepping up terror.
These data were released by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, attacks on Russian military facilities using Molotov cocktails (bottles with flammable mixture) are becoming systematic on the peninsula.
– The organisers and perpetrators of most of them are civilians who support Ukraine,” the intelligence said.
“In response to the resistance and attacks, the occupiers put the personnel of the Russian troops on high alert. They are monitoring so-called suspicious persons who could potentially be involved in the “incidents” in Crimea.
Mass detentions and arrests are taking place on the peninsula. The security forces are allowed to use physical force and weapons. Some arrested people simply disappear.
– A number of citizens who refused to obtain Russian citizenship are considered “missing” after the arrests,” the intelligence noted.
Against other pro-Ukrainian people, the occupiers impose administrative punishments, large fines, harassment, dismiss them from their jobs, deprive them of their business and property.
Among those detained and arrested in Crimea are many representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. These include Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Nariman Dzhelal, public figure Rustem Seitmemetov, and journalist and member of the Crimean Solidarity public association Timur Ibragimov.
As you know, in the occupied Crimea, there are periodic “cotton explosions”, i.e. explosions at Russian military facilities. For example, on 28 July, an ammunition depot exploded in Kozacha Bay (Sevastopol).
