Training of Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots on F-16 fighters will start this month – Zelenskyy

Training of Ukrainian pilots on US F-16 fighter jets is to begin this month.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a speech at a conference of Ukrainian ambassadors in Uzhhorod on Wednesday.
– F-16. This month, training of our Ukrainian pilots will begin,” he said.
Zelenskyy stressed that we should work 100% with those countries that have these aircraft and will be able to transfer them after training.
– This is a powerful, difficult task. The delivery and combat use of F-16s by our pilots should take place as soon as possible. And you understand which countries we are talking about,” the President said.
In June of this year, several of Ukraine’s partner countries approved the start of training for Ukrainian pilots on American F-16 fighters. In particular, it was stated that the training would take place in Romania and Denmark.
Earlier, CNN wrote that the training plan for Ukrainian pilots to train on US F-16 fighter jets has not yet been approved, which calls into question the start of the training process.
To start the training, the US must approve the transfer of equipment and materials specific to the F-16, including flight simulators and training manuals. However, according to media reports, Washington has not yet received final plans from the Europeans.
