A meeting on peace in Ukraine may be held at the UN General Assembly in the fall – Borrell
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that “work continues” to prepare for a high-level meeting on the issue of peace in Ukraine.

As the publication writes, quoting Borrell, a high-level meeting on the issue of peace in Ukraine may take place during the high-level week of the UN General Assembly at the end of September.
It is noted that this meeting will be a continuation of the meeting in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia in early August with the participation of more than 40 countries, which, according to Borrell, was “another step by Ukraine to force the international community to put pressure on Russia to end the war.”
– Only Russia can stop it, Russia started it and Russia must finish it,- Borrell said at a press conference in the Spanish city of Santander.
The head of diplomacy assured that the European Union “will continue to support Ukraine”.
It will be recalled that the High Representative of the European Union for foreign and security policy, Josep Borrell, said that the European Union proposes to create a “separate section” within the framework of the European Peace Fund to ensure the defense needs of Ukrainian troops. It is about the allocation of €5 billion per year for the defense of Ukraine.
