Austin and Zelenskiy to meet at the Pentagon – date
On September 21, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Austin announced this following a meeting in the Ramstein format.
– “I look forward to meeting with President Zelensky at the Pentagon on Thursday,” he said.
The Minister emphasized that the United States is working closely with the Ukrainian authorities to ensure accountability and monitoring of the use of the transferred assistance.
– “We will continue to work closely with our Ukrainian partners to ensure that everything that is transferred is safeguarded and used effectively,” Austin said.
He described the meeting in the Ramstein format as “very successful.”
The Minister admitted that he was impressed by the commitment of 50 countries that are ready to support Ukraine as a sovereign and free state in the future.
As a reminder, the 15th meeting in the Ramstein format took place in Germany on September 19.
