President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the 10-year-old boy who was killed by a Russian Iskander-M missile this morning.

The head of state wrote about this on social media.

According to him, the rescue operation continues.

– “The killed child is a boy. He was ten years old… My condolences to the family and friends! More than 20 people were injured. All the wounded are being provided with the necessary assistance,” the President emphasized.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked all Ukrainian soldiers for continuing to move forward, destroying Russian occupiers and bringing justice to Ukraine.

According to the latest reports, at least 27 people were injured in the missle attack on the city. Among them are the 11-month-old brother and parents of the deceased boy. Explosions were reported in two districts of Kharkiv. Sirens in the region went off two minutes after the strike, because the missiles are ballistic and have a very short approach time.
