Can the Russians break through to the right bank of the Kherson region: Humenіuk’s answer
The troops of the Russian Federation are not able to advance from the left bank of the Kherson region to the right.
Natalia Humenіuk, head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, announced this on the air of the telethon.
According to her, the possibilities of such promotion “are not considered by adequate people.”
– We understand that we are dealing with a rather inadequate enemy. Our defense is quite dense and the advance of the enemy is not expected, – Humenіuk said.
The head of the United Coordination Press Center noted that the Armed Forces continue to work against enemy sabotage and intelligence groups that try to imitate activity in the area of the islands. So, over the past day, Ukrainian defenders destroyed seven boats on which the Russian military tried to maneuver.
According to Humenіuk, the increase in enemy airstrikes and artillery shelling on populated areas in the western part of Kherson region is connected with the occupiers’ fears about the accumulation of forces and means of the Armed Forces “immediately before a certain advance in their direction”.
Earlier, the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andrіyshchenko, reported that Russia had transferred up to 5,000 occupiers to the city and district . The last such introduction of new reserves was recorded in April 2023.
