Окупанти четверту добу штурмують Авдіївку – голова МВА

In Avdiivka, Donetsk region, the occupiers have been shelling heavily for the fourth day – they are trying to advance, using armored vehicles, but the Defense Forces of Ukraine are holding their positions.

Vitaliy Barabash, the head of the Avdiiv city military administration, told about this on the air.

According to him, heavy fighting has been going on for the fourth day without a break. The occupiers are shelling the city with everything they have. There are shooting battles and artillery duels. The enemy actively uses aviation.

Watching now

Last night was difficult – the enemy made several air strikes on the city.

– The night was very hot. There were several anti-aircraft strikes in the city. We didn’t even count – there were a lot of attacks – hundreds of shelling on positions. The attacks do not stop either day or night. The Russians are crawling like cockroaches, – Barabash said.

According to Barabash, the occupiers want to encircle Avdiivka – they are attacking from the north and the south. But the Ukrainian military is holding its ground, “because these are not people, these are titans.”

Logistics to Avdiivka is very complicated – during the period of exacerbation, the authorities stopped the supply of both humanitarian aid and products to the city.

– We try to provide only evacuation. If people have the desire and want to go, then we try to find gaps between these attacks. But in principle, the city has everything – food, hygiene, and medicine. It is in sufficient quantity and with a reserve for several months, – stressed the head of the City Military Administration Vitaliy Barabash.

Previously, analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) calculated that since October 10, the Russian occupation forces captured 4.52 square kilometers of territory in various directions around Avdiivka , Donetsk region.
