Presidential spokesman denies information about Zaluzhnyi’s dismissal

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, has not been dismissed from his post.
This was stated by the spokesperson for the President of Ukraine, Serhiy Nikiforov, in a commentary to LIGA.net.
Zaluzhnyi’s dismissal – why the rumors started
Anonymous Telegram channels and several Ukrainian MPs have spread information about the alleged dismissal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
However, the spokesperson for the President of Ukraine denied the information about the dismissal of Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
Valeriy Zaluzhnyi – biographical facts
Valeriy Zaluzhnyi is a Ukrainian military officer, general, member of the National Security and Defense Council since 2021, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2021.
Zaluzhnyi was born on July 8, 1973, in Novohrad-Volynskyi (now Zvyagel, Zhytomyr region) in a family of military personnel.
In 1989, Zaluzhnyi graduated from the city school No. 9 and entered the Novohrad-Volyn Machine-Building College, graduating with honors in 1993.
Later, Zaluzhnyi entered the Faculty of General Military Studies at the Odesa Institute of the Land Forces. In 1997, he graduated with honors.
He has held all positions in the military service, including platoon commander, training platoon commander, combat platoon commander, training company commander, cadet company commander, and battalion commander.
In 2005, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi entered the National Defense Academy of Ukraine and graduated with a gold medal. He was appointed Chief of Staff, First Deputy Commander of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade in Yavoriv.
In October 2009, Zaluzhnyi was appointed commander of the 51st Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held this position until 2012.
In 2014, Zaluzhny graduated from the Ivan Chernyakhovsky National Defense University of Ukraine. In July of the same year, he was appointed deputy commander of Sector C, which was being formed in Donetsk region.
In 2017, he became the Chief of Staff – First Deputy Commander of the Operational Command West, and later was promoted to Major General.
In 2018, he became the Chief of the Joint Operational Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – First Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces.
In December 2019, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi was appointed Commander of the Operational Command North. In December 2020, he graduated from the Ostroh Academy with a degree in International Relations.
In July 2021, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by a decree of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi. The next day, Zaluzhnyi was appointed to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
In May 2022, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi was included in Time magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2022.
