Missiles are running out. Ukraine needed support from the USA even yesterday – Markarova

Ukraine is facing a critical shortage of military equipment, in particular missiles, but there is hope that American lawmakers will make a positive decision to help the Armed Forces.
This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oksana Markarova in an interview with Bloomberg after the decision of the Senate regarding the further consideration of the draft law on additional aid to Kyiv.
– We still have enough people who want to fight – we have no choice, because we are defending our homes – but we are running out of equipment, especially missiles and interceptors. We needed this support yesterday, – she emphasized.
Markarova noted that this is only the first step in the right direction, but “there is no alternative to the continuation of this support.”
The US Senate and aid for Ukraine
On Thursday, February 8, the US Senate held a procedural vote for further consideration of the draft law on the allocation of additional aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan without the allocation of funds for the protection of the southern border.
However, the Senate must vote on the document again, and it needs at least 60 votes to pass.
Next, the draft law must be considered by the House of Representatives.
