NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has a clear position on the impossibility of trade in Ukrainian territories, and it coincides with ours, said the head of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba on the air of one of the TV channels.

– I assure you that the position of the Secretary General is absolutely clear and exactly the same as in Ukraine – there can be no trade in Ukrainian territories – the diplomat emphasized.

Kuleba also explained that Stoltenberg and the chief of staff of NATO Secretary General Stian Jenssen, who suggested that Ukraine could become a member of the bloc in case of territorial concessions by the Russian Federation, are different people, besides, the latter’s statement was made in a discussion club.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs assured that the governments of other countries are not pushing Ukraine “to surrender territories”, although some experts and journalists have such opinions.

Watching now

– But I very clearly see the tendency that with each victory of Ukraine in the diplomatic arena or at the front, these voices immediately fall silent. There was a meeting in Jeddah – and immediately these voices became quieter. The Ukrainian army takes a certain village – the voices are immediately quieter. The more we win, the more we corner these votes, – Kuleba added.

The day before, the head of the NATO Secretary General’s Office, Steven Jenssen, explained what he meant by the possibility of Ukraine joining the military-political bloc.

He called his words erroneous, stressing that his statement was part of a broader discussion about possible future scenarios in Ukraine.
