Since the Ukraine war began, Russia has lost approximately 16,600 troops and 582 tanks. The figures are courtesy of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

- multiple launch rocket systems – 93;

- aircraft – 121;
- helicopters – 127;
- motor vehicles – 1,144;

- fuel and oil tankers – 73;
- tactical unmanned aircraft – 56;
- special purpose equipment – 21;
- tactical ballistic missile launchers – 4.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine pointed out that the data were subject to change due to high-intensity combat making them difficult to estimate.
Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine in the morning of February 24. Urban and rural residents woke up to heavy explosions.
