After the explosion, a huge queue appeared on the Kerch bridge to leave the peninsula
On the morning of October 8, after the explosion on the Kerch (Crimean) Bridge, a huge queue of Russians lined up who wanted to leave the territory of the occupied peninsula.
This was stated by the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, on the air of the TV channel ICTV.
– In the morning, the Russian occupation administration said there was nothing to worry about, they said we would start the ferry now. There is already a long queue of more than 3 km lined up at the eastern part of the city of Kerch – that’s about two hours ago. The ferry is already gone, they are waiting for it to be launched. But there is already a queue of those who urgently want to leave the Crimean peninsula.
Chubarov noted that people who remain loyal to Ukraine and residents who do not accept the occupation had a celebratory coffee this morning after the news of the explosion on the bridge over the Kerch Strait.
– Those who remain loyal to Ukraine and do not accept the occupation are very happy. But there are those who fall into panic. What happened this morning is no ordinary event. It is simply a super-event that has been awaited for a long time. Today in Crimea, some people are drinking celebratory coffee, while others are thinking about how to leave Crimea quickly.
