On 11 August, the rubble continues to be cleared in Zaporizhzhia after a Russian missile attack on a hotel in the evening.
Update 11 August The head of the regional military administration, Yuriy Malashko, told ICTV host Vadym Karpiak during the national telethon of the United News telethon.
The number of casualties and injured remains unchanged: a 66-year-old woman was killed by enemy shelling.
Another 19 people – nine women, six men and four children – were injured.
The minors who were injured in the missile attack are three, six, 10 and 14 years old.
– One of the men is in hospital in a very serious condition,” said Yuriy Malashko.
The Russians hit the hotel in Zaporizhzhia on the evening of 10 August.
According to preliminary data, the occupiers fired an Iskander-K missile.
A summer camp was located in the building of the facility that was hit by Russia. Fortunately, the children were picked up by their parents an hour before the attack.
The emergency workers who arrived at the scene extinguished the fire in the car, inspected the damaged hotel building and, together with law enforcement officers, evacuated the visitors.
Twenty-three victims needed psychological help.
In addition to the hotel, medical and educational facilities, residential buildings, and vehicles parked near the epicentre of the explosion were also damaged.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy immediately reacted to the attack on Zaporizhzhia.
The head of state assured that Russian terror would inevitably lose.
