Anti-aircraft defense landed a missile in the Cherkasy region – Regional Military Administration
On the night of August 30, air defense forces shot down a Russian missile over the Cherkasy region.
Updated at 09:59. This was announced by the head of the regional military administration, Ihor Taburets.
– People were not injured. There are no ruins either. And this is the most important thing, – emphasizes the head of the region.
We will remind that the threat of rocket fire in Cherkasy region did not pass for five hours in a row.
At half past five in the morning, explosions rang out in the region.
The head of the Regional Military Administration confirmed that air defense destroys enemy cruise missiles on the territory of the region.
People were allowed to leave the shelter at 05:34.
Already in the morning it became known that Ukrainian defenders destroyed 43 out of 44 enemy air targets within Kyiv, Cherkasy, Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
Air defense forces eliminated all 28 air-based missiles of the Kh-101 / Kh-555 /Kh-55 type and 15 out of 16 attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type .
