US Ambassador to the UN: Putin’s meeting with Kim Jong-un shows Russia’s deep desperation

Moscow’s interaction with North Korea demonstrates the desperation of the Russian Federation.
This was stated by US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield during a press conference.
– “You have seen the news (about Vladimir Putin’s meeting with Kim Jong-un – Ed.). I have nothing to add, except to say that this event shows the deep desperation in which Russia is in if it is trying to enlist the support of the DPRK,” the diplomat said.
As a reminder, on 12 September, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un entered Russia on an armoured train and headed for the Amur region.
On 13 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the North Korean leader held a meeting at Russia’s Vostochny Cosmodrome.
The Russian dictator gave Kim Jong-un a tour of the cosmodrome and demonstrated his readiness to help the DPRK develop its space and satellite programmes. When asked by a CNN journalist whether Russia would help North Korea launch its own satellites and rockets, Putin replied: “That’s why we came here.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported that the meeting between Putin and Kim Jong-un shows that the Russian army has significant problems with weapons.
On the eve of the visit, the White House called on North Korea not to transfer weapons to the Kremlin.
US intelligence has received information that Russia and the DPRK are negotiating an arms deal.
