Ukraine received $1.3 billion in aid from the United States – Shmyhal

The United States will provide Ukraine with a $1.3 billion financial assistance package as part of the state budget stabilization assistance.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Twitter page.
– We thank US President Joe Biden for his unprecedented support. Sanctions, weapons and finances bring Ukraine closer to victory. We have just received a grant of $1.3 billion within the state budget funding package of $7.5 billion. Thank you for the prompt decisions of the World Bank, through the mechanism of which the transfer was made, and (President of the World Bank. – Ed.) David Malpass, – he wrote.
During a meeting of the G7 leaders in May, they agreed to provide Ukraine with $9.5 billion in economic aid to help pay the salaries of Ukrainian civil servants and keep the government running amid a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Then, during the negotiations, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that in order for Ukraine to survive, the state will need monthly financial support in the amount of $5 billion to $7 billion.
