Ukrainian defenders are conducting a successful counteroffensive in the Kharkiv direction. With the support of the local population, they managed to advance almost 50 km in three days.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
– Units of the Defense Forces heroically hold their positions and prevent the enemy from advancing. Our defenders successfully repelled the enemy’s offensive in the areas of the settlements of Udy, Kostyantynivka, Virnopillya, Ploske, Mayorsk, Bezimenne and Kamyanka, – the General Staff said.
According to intelligence, some enemy units suffered significant losses. The occupiers are trying to evacuate wounded personnel and damaged military equipment to the areas of Vilkhuvatka and Borodoyarske settlements.
In addition, the personnel of the occupying forces in civilian clothes resort to desertion and try to return to the territory of the Russian Federation. Thus, more than 15 such cases were noted during the day.
In total, over the past day, Ukrainian aviation carried out more than 20 strikes, hitting two platoon strongholds, 15 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment, three anti-aircraft missile systems and four enemy drones.
