Protection of the nuclear safety of the ZNPP is more relevant than ever: Grossi is going to Kyiv

Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, said that he was going on a working visit to Kyiv.
– We are going to Kyiv for important meetings. The need for a nuclear safety protection zone of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is now more relevant than ever, – he wrote on his official Twitter page.
We will remind that on October 5, Grossi stated that the supply of electricity to the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhіa NPP in the South of Ukraine is extremely unstable. In addition, at the Energy Intelligence Forum in London, he added that his itinerary includes a trip to Russia for negotiations after Ukraine.
And on October 4, former head of the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation Hryhoriy Plachkov stated that the Russian military had mined the Zaporizhzhia NPP, and the nuclear units were in a state of cold shutdown.
