Only lawns spoil – Kim about the shelling of Mykolaiv with the S-300 air defense system
During the night and morning of October 20, Russian troops actively shelled Mykolaiv.
Updated at 10:25 am. In the morning, the occupiers opened fire from the S-300 anti-aircraft missile complex.
Enemy shells fell on the territory of the city.
– Arrival of S-300 in the city. Without victims and destruction. Only the lawns are spoiled, – the head of the regional military administration Vitalіy Kim succinctly commented on the morning shelling.
More details about the night attack of the Russian army were reported by the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Senkеvіch.
As the mayor of the regional center specified, four Shahed-136 kamikaze attack drones, which the Russians used to attack Mykolaiv on the night of October 20, targeted one of the city’s educational institutions.
Another drone fell on closed private territory.
– Also, as a result of the shelling, two fires broke out in open areas, which were promptly extinguished by rescuers, – said Oleksandr Senkеvіch.
There are no victims or injured. Damage information is being updated.
In total, on the night of October 20, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 14 kamikaze drones in the region.
Nine drones were shot down by the air defense of the Air Command South of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Two drones were destroyed by soldiers of the Naval Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine.
Another one was destroyed by the National Police of Ukraine.
By the way, last night, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 13 Shahed-136 drones, which the occupiers released twice to attack the Mykolaiv region.

Sirens in the city and region went off at 09:03.
