Russians will not be able to escape from Kherson, as from Izyum – Reznikov
Russian troops will not be able to escape from Kherson in the same way as from Izyum of the Kharkiv region, because the Armed Forces of Ukraine control all the bridges of the regional center.
Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov reported this in an interview with Fox News.
Even street battles will not be the best option for the Russian army due to the fact that all bridges across the Dnipro river are controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanks to HIMARS systems and other artillery.
– It is risky for the Russians to stay in Kherson, because then they will not be able to escape, as they did in Izyum, – Oleksiy Reznikov is convinced.
According to the Minister of Defense, despite the fact that the rains have slightly slowed down the offensive of the Armed Forces in the Kherson region, Ukrainian troops continue to liberate populated areas kilometer by kilometer.
This indicates that the war in Ukraine has entered the third phase – the gradual liberation of the occupied territories.
At the two previous stages, Ukraine managed to stop the Russian army, and then stabilize the situation along the entire front line.
