Everyone who resists will be destroyed: DIU calls on occupants in Kherson to surrender

Ukrainian military intelligence has officially confirmed that Kherson is returning under the control of Ukraine. Therefore, the Russian occupants who did not have time to escape from the city are called to surrender.

The corresponding appeal was published by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. It is published in Russian under the heading: Appeal to the Russian servicemen abandoned in Kherson by the Russian Army Command.

The DIU noted that the Russian command, after the retreat of the main group of Russian troops from Kherson, expectedly abandoned some of the occupiers to their fate. The commanders advised the Rashists, who did not have time to cross, to change into civilian clothes and try to escape from Kherson on their own.

– Obviously, you will not succeed. Kherson is returning under the control of Ukraine, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are entering the city. The retreat routes of the Russian invaders are under the fire control of the Ukrainian army. Any attempts to counteract the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be stopped. Every Russian soldier who resists will be destroyed, – the statement reads.

The DIU clarified that the only chance for the occupants to survive is to surrender immediately.

The intelligence assured that in case of voluntary surrender, the Russian servicemen will be guaranteed safety and security in accordance with the Geneva Conventions. The occupants will receive food, medical care, and in the future they can be exchanged for Ukrainian defenders who are in captivity of the Russian Federation.

As explained in the intelligence, there are two ways to surrender safely:

1. By calling the hotline of the Ukrainian state project “I want to live” at the following numbers: +38 066 580 34 98, +38 093 119 29 84 (available around the clock). You can also use the I Want to Live chatbot (https://t.me/spasisebyabot). Russian soldiers will be able to discuss the terms of surrender with authorized representatives of the Ukrainian command.

2. If there is no possibility to contact the I Want to Live project, the following procedure should be followed:

• For individuals – you need to unfasten the magazine and hang the weapon on the left shoulder with the barrel down; raise your hands with a white flag (it can be any white cloth); shout Surrender; approach the Ukrainian military on command and fulfill all their requirements.
• For a group or unit, it is necessary to lay down all weapons and move away; to stand in front of their military equipment, which should be turned off so that it is not in a combat position; to send a negotiator (officer or senior), who must be unarmed and carry a white flag.

– If you are a citizen of Ukraine from the occupied territories, and you were forcibly “drafted” and forced to fight on the side of the Russian Federation, please inform the Ukrainian military, – the DIU urges.

Ukrainians, who were forced by the occupiers to join the Russian army, will have to tell the Ukrainian military their data: surname, name and patronymic, rank, date of birth, personal number and other information during the interrogation.

In the morning of November 11, it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were entering Kherson. Residents of the city were preparing to meet our military and took to the streets with Ukrainian flags. Now the intelligence has officially confirmed the information that the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered Kherson.
