Reznikov on Biden’s refusal to hand over the F-16: All types of weapons passed the “No” stage
The issue of the supply of various types of weapons each time had a stage when the Western partners refused Ukraine one or another weapon.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, during a joint press conference with the French Minister of Defense, Sebastien Lecornu, in Paris.
According to Reznikov, every military aid to Ukraine went through a series of stages, including rejection.
– This means that “No” as of today, – he said.
The Minister of Defense added that the “No” stage was followed by the “Let’s discuss and study the possibilities”, “Let’s train the crew” stages, and at the end – the stage when the weapons arrive in Ukraine.
– So it was with HIMARS, with the same Bradleys. Remember the story with the German Leopard, it was also “No” at first, and now we have a tank coalition. That is why I believe in the next coalition of aircraft. But there must always be a leader first, that is why I am here (in Paris, – Ed.), – said the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
It will be recalled that earlier US President Joe Biden answered “No” when asked by journalists whether F-16 fighter jets will be provided to Ukraine.
Subsequently, the White House expanded its comment on the reluctance of the United States to transfer F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.
