The aggressor country Russia has concentrated the bulk of its anti-aircraft missile systems along the contact line in eastern Ukraine.

This was stated today at a briefing by the spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat.

In this way he answered the question whether Russia has strengthened air defense at its military airfields. Ihnat explained that, of course, any Russian airfield “has at least basic air defense,” including anti-aircraft systems.

However, the aggressor has concentrated the largest number of anti-aircraft missile systems at the front in Ukraine.

– Do they have airfield protection? Obviously, they do… But I have no doubt that their capital (Moscow – Ed.) is the most heavily guarded, Putin’s bunker is the most heavily guarded, and probably not just one. And the bulk of the anti-aircraft missile systems today are still concentrated along the line of contact, namely in the eastern direction,” Ihnat said.

He added that the Russian Federation has deployed its air defense systems in Belarus, along the border with Ukraine, and in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

– “However, the southeastern combat line is where these systems are most heavily deployed,” Ihnat said.

According to him, we are talking about such anti-aircraft missile systems designed for air defense tasks as Buk, Tor, Pantsyr, S-300, S-350 and S-400.

As you know, explosions recently occurred on the territory of the Russian airfield in Yeysk. After that, six Su-34 fighter-bombers disappeared from the airfield.
