Two waves of shelling against May 9: anti-aircraft defense destroyed 23 out of 25 missiles

On the night of May 9, during two waves of shelling of Ukraine, the Russian invaders fired 25 Kalibr and Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles.

23 of them were destroyed by the air defense of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of May 9, against the “sacred” for the Russian Federation, the Russian occupiers struck the territory of Ukraine with sea- and air-based cruise missiles.

Around 22:00 on May 8, the enemy launched eight Kalibr cruise missiles from launchers in the Black Sea at the eastern regions of Ukraine.

All eight were destroyed by the air defense forces and means of Air Command East.

Already closer to 04:00 on May 9, the invaders released 17 Kh-101/Kh-555 air-based cruise missiles from four Tu-95ms strategic aircraft from the Caspian region.

The forces and means of air defense of the Center Air Command destroyed 14 cruise missiles, one more in the area of responsibility of the South Air Command.

The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for the 440th day.
