The intention of a number of countries to start training for Ukrainian pilots is an important process.
This was stated by Deputy Spokesman of the State Department Vedant Patel at the briefing.
– This is an important process related to the fact that the alliance, a number of countries, provides important defense assistance to our Ukrainian partners, – he says.
In addition, the representative of the State Department noted that the goal of the Western countries is to do everything possible together so that Ukraine has the means to protect its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
-And you’ve seen a lot of countries step up and share systems and train people, and we look forward to deepening our partnership to do that and play our part as well, – Patel added.
We will remind that on May 15, Great Britain announced that it will start training Ukrainian pilots in the summer, and is also negotiating with other countries to send F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
France also announced its intention to start training Ukrainian pilots.
