No information: German Defence Ministry responds to Russia’s claims of “destroyed” Leopards

The German Ministry of Defence has commented on the information about the alleged destruction of German Leopard tanks in Ukraine.
According to a spokesperson for the ministry, the federal government has no information on such facts, Tagesschau reports.
– The federal government does not have any information about Leopard tanks that could have been destroyed in Ukraine, the article says.
The defence ministry spokesman also could not say whether the allegedly destroyed tanks would be replaced by other supplies of equipment.
Earlier, Russian propagandists and officials claimed that seven Leopard 2 tanks and five US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles had been “destroyed” in Ukraine.
It should be noted that Ukraine is asking Germany to provide more Leopard 2 tanks.
Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Melnyk emphasised that our army needs more Western battle tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other armoured vehicles for the counter-offensive.
